Configure IIS settings

To configure the Internet Information Services (IIS) for PSIcapture Mailroom:

  1. Open IIS and check the default application pool (PSIcapture Mailroom) and the website (App) set by the PSIcapture Mailroom installation process.
  2. Add the Read/Write permission for the identity used by the PSIcapture Mailroom application pool. By default, the Network Service is defined as such an identity. To do that, modify the security settings within the properties of the specific folder locations, which is by default: C:\ProgramData\PSIGEN\Fusion.

Change password

Once the login is authenticated, the PSIcapture Mailroom workspace appears. It is empty provided you do not have any items loaded into your queue folder.

We highly recommend that you change the administrator account password at this time.

Only the Administrator account or user accounts with the Administrator Role can set or reset passwords. If you lose access to the Administrator account and have not enabled any other users to have the Administrator Role, you lose administrative access to PSIcapture Mailroom.

To change the Administrator password:

  1. Go to the Administration area.
  2. Navigate to Users > Accounts.
  3. Set the Filter By option to User Directory and select the System Directory.
  4. Select System Administrator (Administrator) from the list and click the Edit icon.
  5. Enter a strong password in the Password field and store it securely.

By default, passwords must include at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and be at least 6 characters long. Avoid using simple or default passwords like your birth date, common words, or "password" to protect your Administrator account.

  6. Re-enter the selected password into the Repeat Password field and click OK.

The system sends an alert if you have not set a sufficiently complex password.
