Use these procedures to export forms from FORMS to image files. It is appropriate to do so when (for example):
You have an archiving application with which to store the images.
You want to use image files repeatedly during testing, to save you the step of scanning them each time.
In the Job description dialog, click the Export tab.
Select Export form images when scanned.
Choose an image file type in the box.
Note: The file type you select here affects storage of scanned documents, if you select Store forms to files after identification in the Storage dialog.
Optional: Specify a desired location (not the one shown by default) in the Image file output directory box. Form images will be moved to the specified location during Transfer. Otherwise, the images stay in the Img folder.
Note: This setting affects the location of exported field images (if any), as well. Form images and field images will be moved to the same directory.
Tip: If you only want to change where the form images are saved, use the settings in the Directories dialog.
Close the Job description dialog and save the job description when prompted.
In order for Export form images when scanned to work, you must also select Export forms to image files in the corresponding form definition:
Using the Manager, select ð Form definition settings. (If the command is disabled, open the form definition.)
Select Export forms to image files.
Close the Form definition settings dialog and resave the form definition.
