Use this dialog to specify where the image files are located and how you want FORMS to process them. This is only available if you are importing image files.
Files of type |
The type of files to be imported. You can also specify a full file name or use the wild cards * and ? in accordance with Windows standards. For example, 6fb2*.tif causes FORMS to interpret all files with file names beginning with 6fb2 and ending with the extension .tif. Other files are not interpreted and therefore remain in the directory after interpretation. |
Always show configuration dialog |
A configuration dialog displays the current settings when you start the Interpret job, and you can change them. |
Look for files with two-sided names |
Interpret checks the file names to see if they are two-sided. The FORMS standard specifies that the last 3 characters in a file name are a sequence number. If this number is even, the file contains a front page. If Interpret finds a file with the same name but with an odd sequence number (the sequence no. of the front page + 1), it is assumed to be the back page. If Interpret finds a page with an odd sequence number, but with no corresponding front page, it is returned as a front page, despite the odd sequence number. If Look for files with two-sided names is not selected, all pages are interpreted as front pages, regardless of sequence numbers. |
Source directory |
The folder that contains the files to be interpreted. Click Browse to choose a folder. |
Identified files |
Select Move to move all files with Identified status. Click Browse to choose their destination. The default directory is the source directory plus \ident. Or, select Delete to delete files with Identified status as they are interpreted. |
Unidentified files |
Where to move files that cannot be identified – that is, files containing forms that have Unidentified status after interpretation. The default directory is the source directory plus \unident. Exception: Multi-TIFF image files are handled differently. |
Error files |
Where to move all other files – that is, files that have any other error status after interpretation. The default directory is the source directory plus \error. Files that FORMS moves to this directory either do not have a supported format or are damaged. |
