Intelligent document processing (IDP) enhancements

DocAI Studio is enhanced to support single-document processing, allowing users to submit and process documents independently of folders.

The Processing mode setting provides a choice between single-document processing and folder processing. When the processing mode is set to Document, it is propagated throughout the entire workflow, which is adjusted accordingly to work with documents only. The process/forms generated in single-document processing mode use the document context.

Single-document processing is ideal for ad hoc, low-volume, or specialized document ingestion scenarios such as onboarding packets, claims, contracts, or legal submissions.

It eliminates the need to build full ingestion flows for ad hoc documents.

Documents can be ingested directly from email attachments from a monitored inbox within DocAI Studio. Automatic classification and processing simplify workflows, as manual downloads are not required before processing. For details, refer to Use email for import in the TotalAgility Studio Help.

Generative AI classification does not need any training samples. Instead of manually uploading training samples, users can classify documents simply by naming and describing the document types. The system uses an LLM to classify when traditional models show low confidence. By leveraging semantic understanding, generative AI classification interprets the meaning and context of documents, delivering more accurate and reliable classification results.

Document samples for classification training data are leveraged when designing a DocAI solution to train a document separation model, enabling automatic splitting of multi-document files with higher accuracy, reducing manual prep work.

For Standard users, it is possible to configure PDF profiles within DocAI Studio.

Any DocAI solutions created and any items imported are automatically available for use within DocAI Studio.

The splitter between the training and test documents is now draggable, allowing you to resize and adjust the training and test panels independently for each document type.
