Create a database server

  1. On the header bar of your Tenant Management System page, click Configuration > Database Servers.

    The Add/Update Database Server page appears.

  2. In the Server Name box, enter a name for the on-premise server.
  3. In the Database Server box, enter a name for the database on-premise Server.
  4. On the Database Server Type list, select the database server type. Available options are: SQL Azure, SQL Server, and SQL Server with SSL. (Default: SQL Server)

    If using "Azure SQL Managed Instance" as the database server, then select the database server type as SQL Server and not SQL Azure.

  5. In the Database Creator Name box, enter the username of the user that has the access to create the databases for tenants in the SQL Server.
  6. In the Database Creator Password box, enter the password of the user that has the access to create the databases for tenants in the SQL Server.
  7. In the Login Creator Name box, enter the username of the user that has access to create the user logins for tenants in the SQL Server.
  8. In the Login Creator Password box, enter the password of the user that has access to create the user logins for tenants in the SQL Server.
  9. Click Create.

    The Database Server is created and displayed in the right panel under Database Servers.

  10. Click Close.

    If TotalAgility is installed with Windows Database Authentication, you can leave the Database Creator and Login Creator credentials blank, and the service account user must have permissions to create a database and login.

Update a database server

  1. On the header bar of your Tenant Management System page, click Configuration > Database Servers.

    The Add/Update Database Server page appears.

  2. In the right panel, under Database Servers, select the database server to update.
  3. Edit the database server details as needed and click Update.

    A message appears to confirm.

  4. Click Yes.

    The database server is updated.

Delete a database server

  1. On the header bar of your Tenant Management System page, click Configuration > Database Servers.

    The Add/Update Database Server page appears.

  2. In the right panel, under Database Servers, select the database server to delete and click Delete.

    A message appears to confirm the deletion.

  3. Click Yes.

    The database server is deleted.
