When you process forms from imported image files, sometimes FORMS cannot identify a form.
Image files containing unidentified forms are normally moved to the subdirectory specified for unidentified forms in the Configure image file source and destinations dialog, and no information about the image or the files is saved in FORMS' form database.
However, you can save forms that cannot be identified by FORMS and manually identify them during verification as one of the form definitions included in the job description. To do this, select Accept unidentified forms in the Identification dialog. ( is selected by default, in this case.)
Later, you must identify and verify the forms.
Accept unidentified forms cannot be used for form definitions with appendices.
Do not use this option if you are importing XML files.
If a set is included in the job, more restrictions apply:
Accept unidentified forms cannot be selected if the number of forms in a set is variable. (Exceptions:) The reason for this limitation is that there can be no uncertainty concerning which type of document it is, even if it was not possible for FORMS to identify it.
At least one form per set must be identified. This means that the maximum number of unidentified in a row equals the number of form definitions in the set minus 1. If the set contains 8 form definitions, the maximum number of unidentified forms in a row is 7; the eighth triggers an error message.
