There are many possible settings and ways of working that can optimize verification time. Each case is unique, but below are some ideas to consider.
You can check the result of each change by examining Verify statistics.
Tip: The suggestions below are for optimizing the verification process. For a list of troubleshooting topics, please go to the Contents tab of this help, and look under Troubleshooting ð Verifying forms.
Normal mode is intuitive but inefficient. Switch to fast verify mode as soon as you are familiar with the system.
Consider deselecting Unknown characters in the Fast verify dialog. Because unknown characters are often unrecognizable outside of their context, fast-verifying them is most efficient when they come from machine-printed character fields or from object fields, rather than from handwritten fields.
If you are using an internal database, try this for even faster processing:
Divide fields into categories.
Create multiple Verify job descriptions, each with its own category. All filled-in fields in each category are then processed at the same time.
Create a job list to run the jobs.
This is efficient when large volumes of forms are being processed, because users work faster when they are not constantly dealing with different kinds of fields all mixed together.
Every person is unique. Create customized Verify job descriptions for each user, based on his or her working preferences. Customize the following settings in particular:
You can also predefine how all the forms are to be displayed by clicking Image display on the Verify tab.
If the Verify module is hesitating too much while loading forms, try buffering to reduce the number of calls to the database.

Use queues to direct forms to the specific users who are most suited to verifying them. The queues can be based on the form definition type, the type of error the forms contain, a specific field value contained in the form, etc.
