Log in to the Unified Client for HP

Sign In to log in.
If the device is configured to show the HP home screen (typically caused by having an application with Guest access), users can trigger the login action by directly pressing on an application with a padlock icon. In this case, users are taken directly to the application after successfully logging in, if they have authorization.

Enter valid login credentials using the on-screen keyboard by tapping within the
User ID field, or by presenting your card to the card reader. You might also need to provide a
password.
Depending on the configuration, one or more login fields may appear.

The following are examples of valid login credentials:
- Equitrac primary PIN only
- Equitrac primary and secondary PINs
- Windows Networking credentials - network user name and password
- Present a card at the card reader
- Present a card and Equitrac secondary PIN
- Present a card and provide Windows password
- Equitrac primary PIN and Windows password
- Card Swipe
- Card Swipe with PIN
- Manual Card ID Entry
- Manual Card ID Entry with PIN
- Microsoft Entra ID authentication with card registration
The last prompt field on the Login screen is masked to protect your login credentials. If secondary prompts are not enabled on the server, the User ID field is masked. If secondary prompts are enabled, the second field is masked instead. - Press Login. Depending on how you entered the login screen, you will go the workflow you selected on the Quick Select bar, the HP native home screen, or start the locked application that you selected.
