Installation

KCM ComposerUI requires installation of KCM Core in combination with either the ASP.NET or the J2EE implementation of KCM ComposerUI that depends on your web server. To take advantage of dynamic objects, such as Text Blocks or dynamical forms, an installation of the KCM Repository Server is required as well. Refer to the Kofax Communications Manager Installation Guide of these products for details on their installation.

Each implementation of KCM ComposerUI comes with two examples of how this application can be configured and customized. A more detailed examples of applications to explore the product is provided in the next chapter.

To install KCM ComposerUI, run the installation tool at <deploy root>:\KCM\Programs\<version>\Legacy Installers\ITPOnLineASP.NET.exe.

  • During the setup, specify IIS virtual directory of KCM ComposerUI ASP.NET. Default is C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\itp.
  • You will also need to specify the KCM ComposerUI configuration settings. If some of them do not apply as expected, use the web.config file to specify these settings manually, as described in the Configuration for KCM ComposerUI ASP.NET section of this guide.
