Manage data centers

You can define data centers where the application servers will reside. The System Session ID validates the connection to the relevant data center from the Tenant Management web site and provides a greater level of security for the data center.

To view a list of data centers, on the Tenant Management System page, click Data Centers.

Create a data center

  1. On the Tenant Management System page, click Data Centers.

    The Data Center page appears.

  2. Enter the following details:
    1. A unique Name, for example, DataCenter1.
    2. System Session ID to validate the connection to the relevant Data Center from Tenant Management web site.
    3. Live Host name, the site URL for the Live instance.
    4. Dev Host name, the site URL for the Dev instance.
      Note These host names are used to determine the URLs and are added to the customer email sent when a tenant is added or updated.
  3. Click Create.

    The data center is created.

  4. Click Close.
    Note The Data Centers are validated before adding to the database.

Update a data center

  1. On the Tenant Management System page, click Data Centers.

    The Data Center page appears.

  2. Click the data center to modify.
  3. Make the needed changes.
  4. Click Update. A message appears when the data center is updated.

Delete a data center

  1. On the Tenant Management System page, click Data Centers.

    The Data Center page appears.

  2. Click the data center to delete.
  3. Click Delete.
  4. Click Yes to confirm the deletion.
