Upgrade tenants
This section describes the steps for upgrading the TotalAgility Azure tenants from version 7.3.0 or (7.3.X.X) to version 7.4.0.
You can upgrade production and development environments of cloud tenants. This helps the customer to review and test the version before Kofax deploys the live version to a tenant. The upgrade of environment is only possible if the tenant status is "Pending Upgrade". To access an upgraded environment, the tenant must also be upgraded. For example, a tenant created on 7.3.0.1 can only access development environment upgraded to 7.4.0, if the tenant is also upgraded to 7.4.0.
- Send an email to all the tenants informing about the upgrade.
-
In the
Upgrade Tenants page, on the
Disable for Upgrade list, select either of the
following:
- Disable All Dev
- Disable All Production
- Disable All
Note-
The Disable Dev and Disable Production options are available only if you select a tenant.
-
The Disable All option is available from the version 7.1.0.4. If you are using a version prior to 7.1.0.4, you must deactivate the tenants one by one.
-
Once you upgrade a tenant, you must set the original status of the tenant, such as active or deactivated. See Manage tenant actions.
-
When a specific environment (production or development) for a tenant is inactive, you can still log on to TotalAgility Designer or Workspace.
- Shutdown Live and Dev Azure deployments.
- Backup all the databases. This includes Master Tenants, Data Center Tenants and each tenant specific database.
- Run the TotalAgility 7.4 conversion scripts on Master tenants and DataCenter tenants database, if any.
- Deploy the TotalAgility 7.4 Azure package for Live and Dev deployments.
- Deploy the TotalAgility 7.4 Tenant Management package for Tenant Management System deployment.
-
On the
Tenant Management System page, click
Upgrade Tenants.
The Upgrade Tenants page appears.
-
On the
Upgrade Actions list, select one of the
following options.
-
All Environments: The upgrade scripts run on all the Development and Live environments for all tenants.
-
Production Environments: The upgrade scripts run on all the Production environments for all tenants.
-
Development Environments: The upgrade scripts run on all the Development environments for all tenants.
Note There can be multiple development environments per tenant.
Upon confirming to upgrade, the upgrade scripts run on the selected environment. Once upgrade is complete, the tenant becomes active automatically. If there are any errors while upgrading the tenant, the errors are displayed against each tenant.
-
- Click Close.
- Ensure that the system is working as expected. For example, you can login and check if the system is running properly.
- Send an email to each tenant informing that the upgrade has been completed.
