Capture Profiles

In the Capture Profiles tab, you can add, edit, copy, delete, import, and export new capture profiles. You can also search, filter, and group capture profiles according to your business needs.

The central table in the Capture Profiles tab lists the available capture profiles. In this table, you can filter capture profiles by name, description, creation date, and modification date. If grouping is toggled off, you can click the header of a column to sort that column by name. Clicking the calendar icon next to a capture profile opens the Capture Profile History related to that profile.

The buttons next to the central table have the following effects:

Button Description
Add

Opens the New Capture Profile Options dialog box, where you can start creating a new capture profile.

Edit

Opens the Capture Profile - General Setup dialog box, where you can edit the selected capture profile.

Copy

Copies the selected capture profile and prompts you to give a name to the new profile.

This feature copies the complete configuration except any monitored directories, because two capture profiles may not monitor the same directory.

Delete

Deletes the selected capture profile.

Import

Imports a previously exported capture profile configuration as an XML file.

Some storage locations, Auto Import monitoring locations, and database configurations may need to be edited if any required configurations are lost during import. Verify that each of these items are configured as intended in Capture Profile - General Setup.

Export

Configures and exports a capture profile as an XML file to be used in another location or capture server.

You can exclude template images of Zone Profiles and Classification Forms when exporting capture profiles.

Fusion Export

For more information on the export feature for Mailroom (formerly known as Fusion), see "Document Profiles" in the Kofax PSIcapture Mailroom Administrator Help.

Update Batches

Opens the Update Batch Capture Profile dialog box, where you can update the configuration of suspended batches in the selected capture profile.

Single batches can be edited in each module by authorized users.

Toggle Grouping

Sorts the capture profiles into groups when toggled on.

All capture profiles can be designated as members of different groups. To create or modify a group, click Edit and modify the group name in Capture Profile - General Setup.
