Event log properties

On the Logging Configuration dialog box of an event log, use the following settings to edit the log configuration.

General - Name and type
Log type Displays Rolling file log as the selected log type. This property cannot be changed.
Description Describes what the log configuration is used for.
Level Determines how much information is provided:
  • 1 - Error: least amount of information (smallest file).
  • 2 - Information
  • 3 - Debug: most information (largest file).
Event log > Settings
Event log Indicates Application (that is, the log is created on the application level).
Source Indicates the string that will be found in the source column of the Windows Event Viewer.
