Documents and fields pane

Each document type is displayed in its own collapsible section and the selected document type has a blue bar on the left of the document type header. This enables you to collapse any document types you are not configuring to focus on a single document type. Thumbnails for both training documents and test document thumbnails are displayed for each document type. Test documents have the  test icon. Any fields configured for extraction are listed below the toolbar.

Each document type on the left pane has a toolbar with the following settings.

Icon	Setting name	Description
 / 	Document type name	The name and of the configurable or predefined document type you provided on the Documents page.
	List of configured fields	Opens the configured fields for the selected document. All fields currently configured for the selected document type are displayed.
	Show fields	Enabled by default and displays a list of configured fields and tables for the selected document. If there is more than one document sample, a vertical scroll bar enables you to move from one document sample to another, with that document type.
 / 	Pause extraction / Resume extraction	Each time you add a new field, all fields are sent for extraction. You can pause extraction by selecting Pause extraction. During this time, you can add multiple fields. However, the new fields are not extracted until you select Resume extraction. If you are using Copilot Auto Extract, we recommend that you pause extraction to reduce AI provider token usage. Disabled for predefined document types.
	Add AI table field	This setting is available only when Enable table detection is selected. Open the Add AI table field window to configure an AI table field. For more information, see Extract an AI table field.
	Enable table detection / Disable table detection	When selected, table detection is performed for the selected document. Disabled for predefined document types.
	Add Copilot Auto Extract fields	Open the Add Copilot Auto Extract fields window to add description-based fields or select proposed fields from the Copilot engine. For more information, see Copilot Auto Extract fields and Extract fields using proposed Copilot fields. Disabled for predefined document types and test documents.
	Configure Fuzzy Lookups	Open the Fuzzy Lookups window configure fuzzy lookups. For more information, see Create a fuzzy lookup. Disabled for predefined document types.
	Field validation rules	Open the Field validation rules window to configure validation for this document type. For more information, see Field formatting and validation. Disabled for all tables in predefined document types.

Use the  and  icons to collapse and expand a document type. This enables you to collapse document types you are not using so you can focus on one document type at a time.

Each document type includes a Fields, Tables and Auto Detected Tables tab. These tabs are empty until the corresponding field types are added to the document type.

Table fields for predefined document types are displayed in the Tables tab.
