View extraction fields

Use the procedure in this topic to view your extraction fields.

All fields configured for extraction for the selected document type are listed on the documents and field pane.

  • For configurable document types, this tab is empty until you add fields.

    When you add a field, training occurs automatically for the newly added field and all other fields on the document. A colored circle indicates the field extraction confidence: green for high ( >=75%), and orange for low (<75%), and a grey circle indicates that there are no extraction results.

  • For predefined document types, this field is pre-populated, and you cannot add or remove fields. You can, however, make changes to most of the field settings.

Each field has a type and that type is indicated by its icon.

Fields added by selecting suggested field pairs.

Copilot fields

Fields added by manually adding a Copilot Auto Extract field or by selecting proposed Copilot Auto Extract fields.

Bar code fields

Fields added by lassoing a bar code.

Database fields

Fields added and populated via a database lookup.

Table fields

Table fields.

Select the table to view the table details.

When you select a table, the Tables tab is populated with the extraction results of that table.

Before you begin

Before you can view the configured extraction fields, verify that there is at least one field added for a configurable document type. Predefined document types have fields already configured.

Procedure

  1. On the Fields menu.

    The Extraction page is displayed

  2. Select a document to view its fields.

    A list of fields configured for that document type are displayed in the Fields pane.

  3. For trained fields, suggested fields, Copilot fields, bar code fields, and database fields, do the following:
    1. Select a field.

      The field is highlighted in green on the document. Copilot fields may not be highlighted in green.

    2. Optional. Select additional fields to view their extraction results on the document.

    Copilot fields may not be highlighted on the document.

  4. For table fields:
    1. Select a table field.

      The table along with its columns, rows, and cells is displayed in the Tables tab and highlighted on the document image.

    2. Select a table to see it highlighted on the image.
    3. Optional. Use the and icons to navigate between tables in the current document type.

      These buttons are disabled if there is only one table in the document type.
