Configure document conversion
Document conversion is required when using file import, but not for other import channels.
Document conversion takes imported documents and converts them to a standardized format to ensure consistent document processing.
Before configuring document conversion, ensure that the required document conversion profile is available.
By default, DocAI Studio has two pre-configured profiles:

Default - PDF

Default - TIFF
Additional profiles may be available if already configured in TotalAgility Advanced Studio.

- Open a DocAI Studio solution.
- From the ribbon, select Steps.
- Select the Document Conversion tab.
- Set Do you want to convert document(s) before processing? to Yes.

Document conversion profile
Select a profile from the list.
The selected profile is used to convert imported documents to a standard format.
If your configuration has no errors, a green check is displayed next to Document Conversion in the list of steps. A red circle on the tab indicates the user operation configuration is incomplete.
The document conversion activity is added to the DocAI Studio workflow.
