Import a solution
Use the procedure in this topic to import a DocAI solution.
For on-premise and on-premise multi-tenant users, a sample DocAI solution is installed alongside Tungsten TotalAgility, and is located in C:/Program Files/Tungsten/TotalAgility/Sample Processes/IDP Starter Pack. The IDP Starter Pack Samples folder includes a zip file of sample documents used by the "IDP Starter Pack" solution. This sample uses Generative AI classification alongside Copilot Auto Extract fields and AI table fields to extract data from two document types.
If you already have a solution and want to import a package to use in that solution, see Import a package to an existing DocAI solution.
The Import setting is available on the DocAI Studio menu and the DocAI solutions page.
Your solution can contain any of the following:
-
PDF generation profiles to configure the PDF generation step.
-
Separation profiles for the Scan/File upload import channel.
-
Formatters for field configuration in extraction.
-
Business processes for sub-process activities.
-
Business rules for business rule activities.
-
Custom services for custom service activities.
-
Resources and groups for solution access and activity assignment.
-
Images for the application icon.
Before you import a solution into DocAI Studio, verify the following requirements are met.
-
You have an exported ZIP file for the package.
-
The ZIP is a valid DocAI solution.
-
You cannot import a solution if a DocAI solution with the same name or ID already exists with a newer version.
-
You cannot import a solution if a DocAI solution with the same name but with a different ID already exists. The solution name must be unique.
-
You cannot import a solution from the Tungsten TotalAgility Advanced Studio.
- On the menu or the DocAI solutions toolbar, select Import.
- In the File Explorer window, browse to and select the ZIP to import and select Open.
-
The system checks if it is a valid
DocAI
package. If the ZIP is valid, select
Import.
If the import package includes a form with the same name as form in one of your existing solutions, you are prompted to rename the one that you are importing. All associated processes are updated to use the renamed form.
If you select cancel, you are returned to the import screen where you can exit and optionally rename the existing form before importing the package again.
The ZIP is imported and the solution is added to the list of solutions.
