Turn off user authentication in print driver (i-series devices)

When using Equitrac with Konica Minolta latest-generation (i-series) devices, you must turn off the User Authentication setting in the printer driver. If this setting is not turned off, users may intermittently lose the ability to print, even though print jobs appear as released in Equitrac.

Printer driver configuration must be performed after the Equitrac registration through DRS is complete.

  1. On the Windows computer, open Settings > Printers & Scanners.
  2. Select the Konica Minolta printer and open Printer Properties.
  3. On the Configure tab, select Obtain Settings.
  4. Clear the Auto checkbox and select OK.
  5. Select Obtain device information and select Yes.
  6. In the Device Option section, set User Authentication to Disable using the Setting drop-down list.
  7. Select Apply, then select OK to save the changes.
