GL Account Structure - New
Add a new GL account structure by entering the following information.
- Structure Name

The name of the GL account structure. The name must be unique for all segment structures. (Mandatory)
- Description
-
Relevant information about the structure. (Optional, but recommended)
- Use Hierarchical GL Account

Select this setting is you want the segments in a GL code to be filtered based on each other. For more information, see Hierarchical GL accounts. (Default: Cleared)
When cleared, AP Workflow users are able to select the segments in any combination.
- Autofill GL Code Hierarchy Lists

Select to automatically fill the GL codes in the hierarchy when a top-level GL code segment is selected.
This setting is available when the Use Hierarchical GL Account setting is selected only.
- Segment Separator

The character that is used in the GL account structure string that is used to separate segments. (Mandatory)
- Save
-
Saves the overall GL account structure.
- List of segments table

This table lists the GL account segments with their Segment Number and their Visible Name. Kofax AP Agility supports a maximum number of 15 segments.
Use the settings below the table to add individual segments.
- Segment Number

Choose a segment number from the list. Each segment can be used once only.
- Visible Name

Enter a name that is displayed to coders when applying a GL code. This name ensures that your users do not have to memorize complicated IDs or reference numbers.
- Add

Adds the selected Segment Number and its given Visible Name to the list above. This list is saved automatically.
- Update
-
Saves the changes made to the selected Segment Number and its given Visible Name from the list above.
- Delete

Removes the selected table entry.
- Undo

If you have partially filled out the segment line in order to add a new segment, click the Undo arrow to clear the entries. All changes to the segment line are lost.
- Close
-
Closes the GL Account Structures window. Any outstanding changes in the Structure Name, Description, or Segment Separator are lost.
