Enhanced ecosystem support

The TotalAgility ecosystem is enhanced to include:

  • Azure Blob Storage integration
  • Azure AI Document Intelligence integration

Azure Blob Storage integration

Azure Blob Storage is integrated with TotalAgility as a Cloud storage provider.

For example, you can import documents into TotalAgility for capture processing, and once the processing is complete, export those documents back to Cloud storage.

You can also export a document image (based on the mime type selected) as a blob to Cloud storage.

The Azure Storage option on the TotalAgility Designer Integration menu lets you configure access to a specific storage account in Azure and test the connection.

TotalAgility supports three authorization mechanisms:

  • Account access key
  • Shared access signature (SAS)

  • Microsoft Entra authorization token

You can hold sensitive information related to Azure Storage in an external vault to avoid security risks.

For more information on Azure Storage integration, see Azure Storage in the TotalAgility Designer Help.

Azure AI Document Intelligence OCR integration

TotalAgility is integrated with Microsoft Azure AI Document Intelligence OCR. TotalAgility supports Azure AI Document Intelligence API GA versions 3.1 and Latest.

The engine is configured in Transformation Designer like all other OCR engines by providing the API key.

Recognition profiles

TotalAgility supports both full-page and zonal profiles.

  • Azure AI Document Intelligence Page Recognition Profile
  • Azure AI Document Intelligence Zone Recognition Profile

These recognition profiles use the Azure AI Document Intelligence recognition engine and are configured via the Project Settings-Service Endpoints in Transformation Designer.

Azure AI Document Intelligence automatically recognizes the document languages providing the best results.

License for recognition engine

A license is required to use the Azure AI Document Intelligence recognition engine. Two methods are available to license this recognition engine:

  • Use a volume license provided by Tungsten Automation: This license charges for production use only. So, the advantage is that you can configure and test a project in the Transformation Designer or a solution in Quick Capture without decrementing the volume license.
  • Use your own endpoint and API key provided by Microsoft: Microsoft charges you each time you use API key, including within Quick Capture or the Transformation Designer.

Recognition provider integration

New recognition provider integration helps identify and extract text data from images and documents. See Recognition providers in the TotalAgility Designer Help for more information.

Ability to select a recognition provider in Quick Capture

When creating a solution in Quick Capture, you can select a provider from the list of recognition engines. By default, the OmniPage recognition engine is used. This list may also contain the Azure AI Document Intelligence or the Tungsten Clarity recognition engine if defined in TotalAgility integrations.
