Create a custom subfield for evaluation

You cannot modify, rename, or delete predefined subfields. However, you can create customer subfields by following these steps:.

  1. Open the locator properties.
  2. On the Subfields tab, click Add Custom Subfield Button to add a subfield.
  3. Enter a name for the new subfield, and click OK.

    The newly created subfield is displayed in the Available Subfields list.

    Follow the naming conventions for valid subfield names. For example, do not use a period (.) in a subfield name.

  4. Optionally, configure the Evaluation Settings.
  5. Open a test document and click Test to test your settings.
  6. Optionally, click Close to close the locator properties window.
  7. Save the changes to your project.
