Main toolbar

The middle panel includes the main toolbar with the following options.

Option

Description

Validate

Validates the currently selected index field and moves focus to the next index field that requires attention (both within and across documents). If no further index fields require attention, the batch is released to the next stage of the workflow and the next available batch is loaded.

Next Batch

Proceeds to the next batch. If no batches remain, you are redirected to the Batch List page.

Merge

Merges two or more documents together. When selected, opens a drop-down list with the documents in the batch with the currently selected document highlighted.

  • Merge Selected: Merges selected documents in the left panel. To use this feature, use the Ctrl key to select the documents that should be merged together, making sure to select the leading document last.

    For example, if you want to merge documents 1, 2, and 3 in order, use the Ctrl key to select documents 2 and 3 first, then select document 1 last.

  • DOC<#>: Merges the currently selected document with a selected document on the list.

Split

Splits a multipage document into two documents. These options determine what is available in the split document:

  • Fields: Only extracted index fields
  • Tables: Only extracted table fields
  • Fields and Tables: Both extracted index fields and table fields
  • None: All fields are empty

Table

Replaces the index field view with the table view. This button is only enabled if your administrator has configured table extraction for the selected document type.

Lists available function key scripts configured by your administrator. If none are available, this submenu is disabled.

Lists external applications configured by your administrator. If none are available, this submenu is disabled.

More > Scanning

Lists the following options:

  • Re-Scan: Opens the Web Scanner to rescan the currently selected page
  • Insert Page(s): Opens the Web Scanner to insert an additional page into the batch

More > Next Batch Algorithm

Controls how the next batch is selected. Available options:

  • Highest priority (default)
  • Order (ascending or descending)

More > Learn File(s)

Performs machine learning for a document configured with the Search Classification or Multidimensional Classification plug-ins.

More > Expedite Export

Prompts you to divert a selection of pages from the current batch instance to a new batch instance that continues to next workflow step while the remaining content remains in the existing batch instance workflow.
