Prerequisites
Before developing and deploying interactive robots with triggers, complete the following tasks. Many installation and configuration tasks are performed by an administrator or similar role.
Prepare the Desktop Automation Service.
-
Configure the Desktop Automation Service.
-
Create a label to identify the attended automation device.
For example, if a Desktop Automation Service is installed on a computer that is used by an active user and that computer will run robots to assist the user, add a label such as "interactive" to the Desktop Automation Service.
-
Configure the Desktop Automation Service to use Management Console authentication and not the shared secret.
The shared secret authentication method is not user specific. Trigger robots must have a user to run.
-
Select Lock package on the Windows tab of the Desktop Automation Service configuration window. This setting is necessary for trigger robots to run in production.
During development and testing of robots, the Desktop Automation Service must have Single User selected and include a token on the Single User tab.
