Freeze Tree
Freeze Tree step is a group step that freezes an application's tree refresh in the Recorder View when executing steps in the workflow. This step can help you greatly increase performance while executing cyclic operations on static windows such as tables, spreadsheets, forms, and similar data.
-
While the steps within the Freeze Tree step execute, the application tree is not refreshed.
-
Once the execution flow is outside the Freeze Tree group, the application tree is refreshed.
-
If the Freeze Tree step is used within a browser, the tree is updated when the execution is moving through the Left Click step contained inside the Freeze Tree step.
-
If the Freeze Tree step is used with an automation device, the tree is not updated when the execution is moving through the Left Click step contained inside the Freeze Tree step.
The Freeze Tree step is supported by built-in Excel functions.
Within a Desktop Automation Service robot workflow, the Freeze Tree step is not supported for use with the following applications:
-
Chromium built-in browser (Browse step)
-
Database (all Database steps)
-
File system (File System Action step)
-
Email (Email step)
-
Terminals (Terminal step)
