Field properties

The field properties provide additional settings to optimize field extraction. You can edit the field properties in bulk per document type, using the Configured fields window.

There are two ways to access the Configured fields window.

• Select  List of configured fields from the document type toolbar.

• In the list of fields, select the  menu for a field and select Properties.

In the Configured fields window, select a field and optimize extraction for the following:

• Trained fields , suggested fields , Copilot fields , bar code fields , and database fields :

  • Configure basic field settings

  • Configure field constraints

  • To apply formatting to a field, do one of the following:

    • Edit field properties and add a reusable formatter that is available globally.

    • Add an inline formatter, either simple or conditional that is available for the current field only.

  • To apply validation to a field, do one or more of the following:

    • Edit field properties to add a validator that is available globally.

    • Add field validation rules that are available for the current document type.

    • Add an inline validator, either single field or multi-field validator, that is available for the current field only.

  • Delete fields in bulk
