Manage content classification
Content classification uses the text recognition results of a document to determine the classification result.
By default, content classification is enabled for all solutions.
Content classification is ideal for documents that have no consistent layout. For example, free form letters and financial, legal, and healthcare documents.
The types of classification available for a solution is relevant for all document types. If you have at least one document type that is content-based, then content classification is required.

Disable content classification
If your solution has no content-based documents, disable content classification to skip that step in the classification process. Instead, you can use layout classification, generative AI classification, or both.
- Select the Settings menu on the ribbon.
- Select Processing.
- In the group, set Enabled to No.
- Thoroughly test your classification results to ensure that disabling content classification does not cause unexpected classification problems.
