Enable PGP for the SFTP target system
SFTP transfers files via a secure, encrypted connection. However, after file transfer is complete, the files are unencrypted on the destination system. If this is a problem for you, the SFTP target system service can encrypt the ZIP files it sends to the target system using Pretty Good Privacy (PGP) encryption. This provides an additional level of security because files remain encrypted on the target system after they are transferred.
-
Upload your PGP public key to the Resources view in ASC or PUB format.
Do not select
to enable the resource. - In the SFTP target system settings, select Zip files before sending. PGP requires this setting to be enabled.
- In the PGP public key setting, select the file that you uploaded to the Resources view.
-
Select OK to save your settings.
After you save the settings, output ZIP files are encrypted using PGP. To turn off PGP encryption, clear the PGP public key setting.
