Adjust properties of a Text Block in a Content Wizard

You can make a Text Block optional or mandatory and editable or non-editable.

Make a Text Block editable

Editable means that the user can edit the text of the document being created. This can be useful to add some personal touch to the document. For example, employees of your organization can specify in the letters whether they have been in contact with the customer by phone or by email, so that the letter becomes more personal.

Note KCM Designer does not support editable Rich Text Blocks. You cannot mark a Rich Text Block as editable or edit a Rich Text Block that was marked as editable in KCM Designer for Windows while interactively testing this Rich Text Block in KCM Designer.

  6. Save the changes and close the Content Wizard Editor.

Make a Text Block optional

An optional Text Block consists of predefined text that you can include in your document if needed. This can be useful to add some extra information in your letter to the customer. For example, to add information on the annual holiday closing of your organization, you can create a Text Block, make it optional, and use only when you need it.
