Create a new project

With KCM Designer, you can upload and import an existing project. To create a new project for use in KCM Designer, see Create a project from within KCM Designer for Windows.

Upload and import a project to KCM Designer

Import function is only available for users with the "Allow login as Admin" right. This permission can be assigned through KCM Designer for Windows. For more information, see the Kofax Communications Manager Repository Administrator's Guide.

  1. On the toolbar, click the navigation arrow icon and then click Dashboard.

    The dashboard appears.

  2. Click Import.
  3. Browse to the project to import and click Open.

    Note The maximum supported size of the import file is currently limited by available memory but typically is around 100 MB. For larger imports, use KCM Designer for Windows. For more information, see the section Import and Export in the Kofax Communications Manager Repository User's Guide.

  4. Click Upload.
  5. Enter a name for the project and click Import.
    A notification appears when the project is imported to KCM Designer. It will appear in KCM Designer.

    Tip You may need to refresh KCM Designer to see changes you have applied. To do so, on the toolbar, click the round arrow icon.
