Create a Form
A Form may contain almost any type of information.
- Navigate to .

Click
Forms and then click
New Form in the
New pane on the right.
The New Form window appears.

Enter a name for the
Form and click
OK.
The new Form appears.

Click the new
Form and then click
Edit in the
View and Edit pane on the right.
The Form Editor opens.

Click the
Form.
To adjust the Form settings, right-click it and then click Edit.

On the General tab, you can change the Form title by entering it or selecting applicable Fields.

On the Advanced tab, you can change the Form ID, if needed. For more information, see the section
Form and question IDs
in the Kofax Communications Manager Core Developer's Guide.If you select Ignore unseen groups, a Field assigned as an answer to a question in an unseen group of questions (a group that is not shown in the Form based on a condition) will not be assigned a value. By default, a value is assigned to the Field regardless of whether the questions appear in the Form.

On the toolbar on the left, click the plus icon, click
Question, and then select the type of the question you need.
A new window appears.

Enter text in the required fields and make selections where needed.
You can also insert a Field from the Fields list if this option is available in the item of your choice. Click Fields and select a Field.
- Select Answer field to specify where the answers to the questions will be stored in the Data Backbone.

In the
Default answer section, select
Default answer if this option is available in the question
type of your choice. You can select to have no default answer, or select it from the
Fields list so that the default answer is taken from the
Data Backbone and modify it when necessary.
Go to the Validation tab to adjust the validation settings. For example, you can specify that the answer to the question may not be left empty.

Click
OK.
The new Form appears in the window on the right.
If you have more than one Form, you can create a group of Forms.
