Basic UI organization and available tools

The Tungsten Communication Server Portal user interface consists of a header, navigation tree, and content areas.

The following table illustrates the main elements of Tungsten Communication Server Portal interface.

  Function/Description
1 Displays Tungsten Communication Server Portal version information.
2 Displays a screen to configure the following properties for a user:

  • Settings: You can configure the following using this window:
    • Language: Lists the languages you can select for use with Tungsten Communication Server Portal.

With the first logon from a specific workstation, the user interface is displayed in the default language (English). You can select the language from the list to display the user interface in another language.

With Windows authentication, the user is automatically logged in to the Tungsten Communication Server Portal using the new language.

With manual authentication, the user is prompted to log in again if the language selection is changed.

The information on the selected language is saved in the browser’s local storage and is used for any subsequent login to Tungsten Communication Server Portal from the same browser and workstation, even for a different user. If the user deletes internal data for the browser, the language information is cleared and the default language is restored for use with Tungsten Communication Server Portal.

    • Inbox auto-refresh: Enables auto-refresh for the Inbox folder.

    • Outbox auto-refresh: Enables auto-refresh for the Outbox folder.
