  2. Under Parameters, click Manage.

The Manage Search Databases or Manage Search Repositories dialog box appears, where you can add, edit, or delete databases or repositories, depending on the selected query type.

  3. Follow these steps to add a database. Repeat as many times as necessary.

To add a repository instead of a database, skip to step 4.

    1. Click Add.

The Database Configuration dialog box appears.

    2. Enter a name for the database.
    3. Select the database provider.
      • Microsoft Access

      • Microsoft SQL Server

    7. Click Save again.

The dialog box closes and you return to the Manage Search Databases dialog box.

  4. Follow these steps to add a repository. Repeat as many times as necessary.

If you added a database instead of a repository, skip this step.

    1. Click Add.
    2. Browse to the folder where the repository is.
    3. After selecting the repository, continue configuring the connection as needed, then return to the Manage Search Repositories dialog box.

  6. Under Parameters, select the database or repository the query should search from.

If you search in a repository, point to the same directory as defined in the Retrieval workflow of the capture profile configuration.

  7. Under Definition, select Simple query or Query builder, then define your search criteria.
    • Simple query: One or more search criteria can be defined using multiple index fields.

    • Query builder: Works the same way as the simple query, except the same field name can be used in multiple criteria, further narrowing the search.

  8. After the search criteria are specified, click Run Query to initiate the query.
