Email outbound tab
Use this tab to configure the outgoing email communication. Get the required information from your mail server administrator. Depending on the configuration, the Message Connector Configuration sends emails in two situations.
-
To inform an operator about failed messages that cannot be imported to Kofax App.
-
To send notification messages to the originator of incoming email messages.
SMTP server mode: Specify how to locate the outbound SMTP server.
-
Auto Mode (MX record): Uses the mail exchanger records in DNS to automatically identify the SMTP server (according to the host part of the email address).
-
Smart Host (A record): Uses the address records.
-
Smart Host (hosts file): Use the local hosts file.
SMTP smart host: If you are not using the auto mode, type the SMTP host for outgoing email messages (domain name or IP address).
TCP port: Type the port on the SMTP host for outgoing messages.
User ID: Type the user name needed for authentication with the SMTP host.
Password: Type the password needed for authentication with the SMTP host.
SSL/TLS active: Select if and when to use SSL for outgoing email communication. See SSL certificate tab.
Outbound emails can be completely disabled in the Security options tab.
