Test Email

Use this menu to send a test email message. The message is sent out and received through the SMTP server.

From the Message Connector storage, the message is imported into Kofax App (if configured).

  1. On the menu, click Test Email. The Send Email page appears.
  2. In the SMTP Host field, enter the SMTP server name or the mail domain to be used for email transmission. If this field is not configured, the default value configured in Message Connector configuration is used.
  3. In the SMTP Port field, enter the TCP port number of the SMTP server. If this field is not configured, the default value configured in the Message Connector configuration is used.
  4. In the Use SSL list, select whether to secure the connection for transmitting email. Select the as configured option to use the values configured in Email Outbound.
  5. In the User Id field, enter the user Id of the SMTP server. If this field is not configured, the default value configured in the Message Connector configuration is used.
  6. In the Password field, enter the password of the SMTP server user. If this field is not configured, the default value configured in the Message Connector configuration is used.
  7. In the From field, enter the email address of the email originator. For a test message, this can be any address.
  8. In the To field, enter the email address of the message recipient.
  9. In the Subject field, enter a subject for the test email.
  10. In the Text field, enter text for the email. For a test message, this can be any text.
  11. Optionally, click the Browse button to add an Attachment to the test email.
  12. Click Send Email. The "Server returned ok" message appears.
