Configure Device Profiles

In the Device Profiles Setup dialog box, you can create device profiles that can be imported or exported by other users. To import or export device profiles, see Import/Export Device Profiles.

For scanners, driver settings can be configured and named for quick recall during capture operations.
For the import device, folder paths can be specified for quick access to image directories.

The profile settings are independent on each capture profile, device, and scan station.

Device profile setup (scanning)

Button	Description
Add	Creates a new scan profile. Select Share the new device profile across all capture profiles to share the device profile. Shared device profiles can be freely imported or exported between capture profiles, and they can also be directly imported to the QA workflow. Shared device profiles have a check mark in the Device Profiles Setup dialog box.
Edit	Changes an existing scan profile, including paper size, resolution, color level, and more. These parameters are device specific.
Delete	Deletes an existing scan profile.
Copy	Duplicates an existing scan profile and prompts you to name the new profile.
Rename	Renames an existing scan profile.
Set Default	Designates the default scan profile loaded by the Capture module.
Close	Exits the Device Profiles Setup dialog box.

Device profile setup (import)

Button	Description
Add	Creates a new import profile. Sets a default local folder, mapped drive, or network folder where images to be captured are located. Selecting a network folder by using Browse > Network > Computer > Share places the UNC path in the Default Import Directory field. We highly recommend the use of UNC paths when working in a Capture Server/Network Station environment.
Edit	Changes an existing import profile.
Delete	Deletes an existing import profile.
Copy	Duplicates an existing import profile and prompts you to name the new profile.
Rename	Renames an existing import profile.
Set Default	Designates the default import profile loaded by the Capture module.
Close	Exits the Device Profiles Setup dialog box.
