Flags

You can set flags in the QA module according to your processing preferences. This topic describes how best to set flags and configure them for your workflow.

Administrator assistance is needed to edit the configuration elements for a QA workflow step.

Available flags and flagging options

Button Description
Set Review Flag

Places a review flag on the current batch, folder, document, or page.

Set Reject Flag

Places a reject flag on the current batch, folder, or document.

A reject flag can only be assigned to a batch, folder, or document.

Set Delete Flag

Places a delete flag on the current batch, folder, document, or page.

Set Process Flag

Places a process flag on the current batch, folder, document, or page.

Set Skip Flag

Places a skip flag on the current batch, folder, document, or page.

Set Custom Flags 1–5

Places a custom flag on the current batch, folder, document, or page.

Clear Flag

Removes a single flag from the selected item.

Clear All Flags

Removes all flags in the current batch.

Auto Flagging

Sets flags automatically based on certain criteria. See Table 2.

Auto Processing

Handles the items that are tagged by a flag in one of five ways. See Table 3.

Auto Flagging

Button Description
File Size Auto Flagging

Automatically tags a designated flag to a page based on the size of the image file. A separate threshold can be set for the front and the back of a page.

Image Color Level Auto Flagging

Automatically tags a designated flag to a page based on image color level (black/white, grayscale, or color).

Page Type Auto Flagging

Tags the front, back, and separator pages for further processing or skipping.

Page Number Auto Flagging

Automatically flags pages based on the numbers entered.

Multiple pages must be separated with commas.

Index Value Auto Flagging

Automatically flags documents or folders based on index value expression matches.

Bar Code Value Auto Flagging

Automatically flags documents based on bar code values. Enter each value and the flag you want to set if a match is found.

Image Size Auto Flagging

Automatically flags documents based on image size, measured in pixels.

Enter the width and height thresholds of pages to be flagged, determine if one or both criteria should apply, and define the type of the created flag.

Auto Processing

Button Description
Delete Items Flagged For Deletion

Deletes all items tagged with a delete flag.

Reject Items Flagged For Rejection

Rejects all items tagged with a reject flag and creates an exception batch with the same name as the current batch, containing the rejected items.

Split Documents At Pages Flagged For Processing

Creates a new document at each page tagged with the process flag.

Combine Documents Flagged for Processing with Previous Document

Combines any flagged document with the document previous to the flagged item.

Insert/Replace Flagged Pages

Inserts or replaces the flagged pages with a selected image.

  • Insert Page before flagged Pages: Inserts a single page before the selected flag types.

  • Insert Page after flagged Pages: Inserts a single page after the selected flag types.

  • Replace flagged Pages: Replaces the flagged pages with the selected image.
