Index menus

This topic lists the buttons available in the File and Home menus of the Index module, and also optional QA commands.

Home menu

Group Button Description
Batch Select Batch

Opens the Select Batch dialog box, where you can select a batch that is in the Index workflow step.

Close Batch Opens the Close Batch dialog box, where you can select one of three options:
  • Close Batch: Closes the current batch. You stay in the current module, and the Select Batch dialog box appears.

  • Close Batch and Continue in next Workflow step: Closes the current batch and the current module. The batch is immediately reopened in the next module of the workflow.

  • Suspend Batch in Index: Suspends the batch in the current workflow step for processing at a later time.

The behavior of the Close Batch dialog box is affected by the Default Action for the "Close Batch" dialog setting defined in the capture profile workflow configurations.

View Batch Information

Opens the Batch Information dialog box.

The Modify Capture Profile Definition button and the Batch Overrides tab are not available.

Indexing Toggle Index Data Editing

Enables or disables the editing of index data in the Data View.

Toggle OCR Indexing

Activates or disables OCR indexing. When activated, you can select the index field, then use the mouse to highlight text/numbers you wish to OCR. The corresponding index field becomes populated with data.

OCR indexing in the Index module must be enabled.

On Demand Field Level OCR

On Demand Field Level ICR

On Demand features are used to perform OCR/ICR indexing in a region that you have selected.

When activated, you can select the index field, then use the left mouse button to draw a zone in the Viewer pane, containing the relevant text/numbers.

Accelerated Zone Profile Configuration

You can configure zone definition profiles during Batch Processing in the Index module. The changes made are applied to both the current batch and the capture profile defined in Configuration.

This button is only visible if Use Accelerated Zone Profile Configuration in Index Module is enabled for the user (in System Permissions).

Manual Zone Correction

You can correct existing zones manually during the Index step. Use the accelerated zone profile for creating new zones.

Display Index Field Zones

Displays the detected zones of index fields in the selected document.

Enable Zoom To Zone

Enables zooming to a specific index field zone. For example, when you place the cursor in a field to enter the invoice number, the Viewer automatically zooms to where the index data is found on the page.

Button Description
Open New Viewer

Opens a new viewer pane if, for example, you want to compare two separate pages in a document.

Reset Indexed Flags

Resets all manually or automatically created flags to their default settings.

Index Setup

Opens the Index settings for the current capture profile, enabling you to make changes during the workflow without closing the batch.

Exit

Exits PSIcapture.

If a batch is currently open, you are prompted to close or suspend the batch.

The following commands are only available if Enable Quality Assurance Commands is enabled in the Index settings.

Optional quality assurance commands

Button Description
cwp.png Combine with Previous

Combines the current folder/document with the folder/document that comes before it.

  • Folder: Appends all documents in the selected folder to the previous folder.
  • Document: Appends all pages in the selected document to the previous document.

rename1.png Rename Folder

Renames a folder.

del.png Delete

Deletes the selected folder, document, or page and all its contents from the batch.

cnf.png Create New Folder

Creates a new folder containing this document and all the documents that follow it in its original folder. The new folder inherits the same indexing data from the old folder if it was previously populated.

spl.png Split Document

Splits one document into two documents with the selected page being the first page in the new document. The selected page and all the pages that follow it in its original document are added to a new document that is created immediately after the original document. The new document inherits the same indexing data from the old document if it was previously populated.

s2.png Save Page

Saves a page from the batch to the disk.

pdf.png PDF Bookmark

Opens the PDF Bookmark Definition dialog box. In this area, you can manage your bookmarks.
