Content creation in PSIsafe Web
Before creating content in PSIsafe Web, it is helpful to understand how it functions within the Kofax PSIsafe product suite.
Content in PSIsafe Web is created in a variety of unique ways, depending on your company's needs and infrastructure. The PSIsafe Database and Repository files stored in your system are shared across the PSIsafe product suite, and access depends on your organization's configuration. In most cases, organizations use one or two main database locations, and content is stored in those locations in a variety of ways.
For example, an organization might opt to import the majority if their content via PSIsafe Synchronizer, thereby creating a good deal of content automatically by importing it from a third-party platform into PSIsafe. The content is then accessed, edited, and uploaded again into PSIsafe through the PSIsafe desktop application. Remote employees can opt to access PSIsafe content through their browser and PSIsafe Web.
In some configurations, other downstream applications in the PSIsafe suite help facilitate certain organizational responsibilities. Database lookup tools such as PSIsafe Retriever are available, and Invoice and AP processing can be managed with PSIsafe Books. All these applications share the same database, repository, and metadata, including Folder Indexes, Document Records, Document Indexes, and Line Items. This metadata is then viewed in a variety of fashions, and is often accessed by third-party programs that share the metadata across a collection of applications used by the organization. Understanding the network of technology that your organization employs helps you streamline tasks and efficiently complete the goals while using the PSIsafe product suite.
