Information

The PSIsafe Web Information function is available in the Cabinets (Browser) and Search product areas.

Getting Document Information

Getting Information allows users to get a wide variety of metadata information on the currently selected document within PSIsafe Web. The Information function displays specific location, rights, and user data relevant to your PSIsafe Web installation.

First, left-click on the content you wish to Information within the document list of a Cabinets (browser) or Search areas.

Then, hover over the down arrow and click Information. You can also Right:click on the content and click Information.

The Document Information window appears, displaying information on the document's status changes and updates performed within PSIsafe Web and PSIsafe. The following list gives a breakdown of the commonly displayed information:

  • Repository Name: The name of the Repository currently hosting the content.
  • Cabinet Name: The name of the Cabinet currently hosting the content.
  • Folder Name: The name of the Folder currently hosting the content.
  • Template Name: The name of the Template that is currently assigned to the document
  • Document Title: The current title of the document.
  • Document File Size: The file size of the content in relevant KB, MB, or GB values.
  • Manager Name: The file manager currently assigned to this document via its Template.
  • Extension Name: The file extension name for the current document, usually an acronym.
  • Security Class Name: The Security Class currently assigned to the document.
  • User Rights: The currently logged:in user rights available for this document. Abbreviated names of rights are:
    • P: Preview rights, allowing the Preview and Preview Window functions.
    • V: View rights, allowing the user to view the content in an external program (Not applicable to PSIsafe Web, only PSIsafe Desktop).
    • X: Export rights, allowing users to Download content in PSIsafe Web.
    • E: Edit rights, allowing users to edit content.
    • C: Create rights, allowing users to create content.
    • D: Delete rights, allowing users to delete content.
    • L: Lock Rights, allowing users to use the Lock and Unlock functions. Also grants all above rights.
  • Create Date: Date the content was created.
  • Modified Date: Date the content was last modified.
  • Original Created Date : Date the content was originally created, if additional creation occurred at a later date.
  • Create By: The PSIsafe user who created the content.
  • Modified By: The PSIsafe user who last modified the content.
  • Retention Expiration: The date on which retention for the content expires.

At the bottom of the Document Information window, a quick breakdown of the document location is displayed for reference in a single string field.

The final section of the Document Information screen displays check boxes that allow the user to select whether the Repository Name, Cabinet Name, and Index Name are included in the above displayed information.
