Trace
The PSIsafe Web Trace function is available in the Cabinets browser and Search product areas.
Using Trace on Content
Tracing allows users to track the changes performed on a document with a detailed breakdown of how the document has changed hands within the application. For example, a document may be sent through Workflow to a specific user, and after that user performs some edits, they may send it to a different user. Sometimes the sending and receiving of documents occurs automatically depending on the Workflow configuration. While workflow functionality is not currently supported in this version of PSIsafe Web, the Trace function still allows users to track who has created, edited, and modified content within your PSIsafe Web installation.
First, left-click on the content you wish to Trace within the document list of a Cabinets browser or Search areas.
Then, hover over the down arrow
and click
Trace. You can also Right-click on the content and click
Trace.
The Document Trace window appears, displaying information on the document's status changes and updates performed within PSIsafe Web and PSIsafe.
The Trace columns shown above display relevant information to trace the path of the document:
- Date - The date on which this action occurred.
- Time - The time of day in which this action occurred.
