Configure RESTful service activity to update data

Use the following procedure to configure a RESTful service activity to update the data.

Procedure
  1. On the Verb list, select PUT.
  2. On the Type list, select one of the following option:
    Option Description

    XML (default)

    		Select this option to call the third-party REST API using "application/xml".

    JSON

    		Select this option to call the third-party REST API using "application/json".

    Multipart Form Data

    		Select this option to call the third-party REST API using "multipart/form-data".
    1. To add a part, select . The Add part dialog box is displayed.

    2. In Part name, enter a name for the multipart part.

    3. In Part type, select one of the following option:

      Part type Description
      Text In Value, select the down arrow and select the required variable.
      File

      1. In the Value field, select the down arrow and select the required variable.

      2. On the Mapping type list, select one of the following options, Instance id, Data as base64 string, and Data as binary.

      3. On the Mime type list, leave the default value selected or select a value if a specific mime type is required.

    4. Select Add.

      The part is listed under Multipart configuration.

    5. Add more parts as needed.

    Use edit to update an existing part. Use delete to remove a part.

  3. Edit the default custom header as needed.
  4. Handle a response.
  5. Define a response header.
  6. Configure error handling.
