Name conventions and maximum length

TotalAgility Advanced Studio
This topic describes the name conventions for the items in TotalAgility Advanced Studio.
Form name

A form name cannot contain the following characters:
\\ ? / : * " < > | % # & ( ) + $ £ € ^ - { } [ ] @ ~ _ , ! ¬ ` -
A form name cannot include the following reserved Windows keywords:
AUX COM1 COM2 COM3 COM4 COM5 COM6 COM7 COM8 COM9 CON CLOCK$ LPT1 LPT2 LPT3 LPT4 LPT5 LPT6 LPT7 LPT8 LPT9
Document type name
The maximum length is 80 characters when the document form is dynamically generated at runtime.
To use a name longer than 80 characters, manually create the document form in TotalAgility Advanced Studio, then assign it to the extraction group.

Can contain _ and GUID (and is still able to take or complete the activity)

Maximum length is 40 characters
Display name of a process or server variable

This topic describes the name conventions for the items in Transformation Designer.
Item name
The names of the following items must use only the supported characters:
- Classes, folders, training folders
- Fields, formatters
- Locators and locator subfields
- Document Review scripted rules and validation rules
Supported characters
- Uppercase letters: A-Z
- Lowercase letters: a-z
- Numbers: 0-9
- Underscore: _
- Accented characters:

Restrictions:
- Names cannot start with a number.
- Names cannot contain the following characters:
