Configure Session lock timeout

Configure session lock timeout to automatically lock user sessions after inactivity.

You must have Administrator permissions.

Procedure
  1. Navigate to System > System settings > Logon and authentication > User sessions.
The User sessions dialog box is displayed.
  2. In the User group, in Session lock timeout, enter the timeframe. (Default: 0 Hrs 15 minutes, maximum: 12 hours)

When upgrading from a previous release, the default session lock timeout is 0 Hrs 0 Mins, the session lock is disabled, and the session will keep running without automatically locking due to inactivity.

  3. Select Save.
Restart the Tungsten TotalAgility services for the settings to take effect.

Session lock timeout is configured. When users are inactive for the specified period, their sessions will automatically lock.

Unlock a locked session

When your session is locked due to inactivity, re-authenticate to unlock it and continue working.

Procedure
  1. When the session lock overlay appears, select Unlock.
The authentication prompt is displayed based on the configured authentication method for your TotalAgility installation.

If you have multiple browser tabs open for the same session, all other tabs remain in a locked state until you successfully enter your credentials and log on.

  2. Provide your authentication credentials based on the configured method:
    • Windows authentication: Your Windows credentials are automatically used for authentication. If automatic authentication fails, you may be prompted to enter your Windows username and password.

    • Manual authentication: Enter your TotalAgility username and password.

    • Federated security: You are redirected to your organization's identity provider login page. Enter your credentials as required by your identity provider.

    • Multi-factor authentication (MFA): Enter your username and password, then provide the additional authentication factor (such as a passcode sent to your email or mobile device).

Import the latest Workspace package to get the "VerifyPasscode" form.

  3. Select Submit or Login to complete the authentication.

The session unlocks, restoring your previous state without data loss. All tabs for the same session unlock simultaneously.

If authentication fails, you can try again. If session timeout is reached while locked, you are logged out.
