Configuration of a File upload control
Configure the File upload control to suit your requirements.
More info
-
Enable the "Require session ID" system setting if you want to enforce
authentication for all file uploads.
-
• Use security tokens if you want to control access to File upload controls
based on user roles and permissions. See the General tab of File upload control properties.
For security purposes, all File upload control configuration settings are stored in the
database and retrieved on the server side using the form ID and control ID,
preventing potential security vulnerabilities.
| Name

Description
|
|
Auto save
|
If selected, files are uploaded automatically when selected at runtime. (Default: Clear)
The files are automatically uploaded when you select OK in the confirmation message without invoking a File
upload action.
|
|
Drag and drop
|
-
If selected, you can upload files via drag-and-drop in TotalAgility Workspace. You can also set the height (default: 150 px)
and percentage height of a control. See "Use
viewport height" and "Height" properties
in Design properties of a
control.
-
If clear (default), then you can use the standard browse to files and upload.
|
|
File selection mode
|
Indicates whether you can upload
Single or
Multiple files.
|
|
Store in repository
|
Determines whether uploaded files are stored in the repository.
- If clear (default), files are stored in the
specified location.
If multiple files are
uploaded to a folder using an iOS device, all images
are automatically assigned the name image, such as
image.png or image.jpeg.
- If "Overwrite" is clear, the first image
is uploaded, but subsequent uploads fail because
files with the same name already exist.
- If "Overwrite" is selected, only the last
image is uploaded, and no message is displayed
that only one image was uploaded.
- If selected, files are stored in the repository.
To store the uploaded files, configure the following:
- Folder ID:
Specifies the folder in which the document is
stored. Select a form control or a form data
variable containing a valid folder instance ID.
Alternatively, enter a static folder instance ID. If
the folder location is left blank, a new folder is
created.
- Document ID:
Specifies the variable that stores the ID of the
newly created document. Select a form control or a
form data variable to store the returned document
ID. The Document ID option is hidden when
"Multiple" is selected as the file selection
mode because it does not apply to multiple file
uploads.
-
Store uploaded files in the repository rather
than file system paths, when possible, for better
security and management.
-
The "Overwrite" option is not available when files are uploaded to the
repository.
-
The "Store in repository" option is not
available in TotalAgility Azure and on-premise multi-tenancy
environments. In these environments, uploaded
files are automatically stored in the
repository.
