Add documentation for your project
The Master Templates folder also contains the Documentation folder where you can store documentation for your projects. You can create and edit a document in KCM Designer, automatically opening Microsoft Word.
- Navigate to .
- Click the folder and then click New Documentation Document in the New pane on the right.

Type a name for the document and click
OK.
The new document appears in Documentation.
- Click the new document and then click Edit in the View and Edit pane on the right.

Enter or paste the necessary text and close Microsoft Word.
Save the changes when prompted to do so.
Alternatively, you can download the document to your computer to edit it in the editor of your choice and then upload it back to KCM Designer. To do so, click the document and then click Download for editing locally in the View and Edit pane on the right. Click Just download or Lock and download to lock the object for other users. When you finish editing the document in your editor, save it and then click Upload locally edited file in KCM Designer to upload the file from your computer.
