Add Data Backbone item

The following procedure shows how to include a Data Backbone item in a Content Wizard. You can add Data Backbone items to a Content Wizard only when the Data Backbone has repeating nodes.

A Data Backbone item can contain the following elements:

Elements added to a repeating Data Backbone node will appear in the resulting document as many times as this node is repeated.

  1. In the document structure, select the element to add a Data Backbone item to.
A Data Backbone item can be added to the root of a Content Wizard, a Section, or another Data Backbone item.
  2. On the toolbar, click Add item > Data Backbone item.
  3. Select a Data Backbone item from the list and click Add item.
In the Content Wizard structure, if you want to add a repeating/non-repeating node B that is nested under an upper-level repeating node A, you first need to add the node A and then add the Node B to it. In other words, you cannot add child Data Backbone nodes until the parent node is added to the Content Wizard.
  4. To add another node or element to the Data Backbone item, right-click the node in the tree and click Add item.
  5. Click Save.
