Status Bar Controls

Use the controls on the status bar to select an image viewing mode or adjust the way that images appear in the viewer.

The following table lists the controls that are available on the status bar. The availability of some controls may vary, according to the active viewing mode (thumbnail or single image).

Zoom on rectangle

Zoom on Rectangle

Selects and magnifies a rectangular region of the image. The selected region fills the viewing area. Available only in single image view.

Pan

Pan

Moves the position of an image that does not fit entirely within the viewing area. Use this control to bring hidden areas of the image into view. Available only in single image view.

Draw Zone

Draw Zone

Changes cursor to a right angle for the purpose of drawing a recognition zone for indexing. Data within the zone is used to populate the selected index field. Available only in single image view while indexing mode is active. To exit drawing mode, click Zoom on Rectangle or Pan. See Drawing Recognition Zones.

Fit to Size

Page Fit

Fits the entire image into the viewing area. Available only in single image view.

Fit Horizontal

Horizontal Fit

Scales the image so that its width exactly fits the viewing area. Available only in single image view.

Fit Vertical

Vertical Fit

Scales the image so that its height exactly fits the viewing area. Available only in single image view.

100 percent view

100% View

Displays the image without scaling it. Any previously applied zoom factor is cleared so that an exact representation of the scanned image appears in the viewer. The height or width of the image may not fit into the viewing area. Available only in single image view.

Compact thumbnail view

Compact thumbnail viewer

Displays thumbnail images with multiple documents per row. Multiple documents per row are displayed only if more than one complete document fits in the same row. Not available if you select the Scan Settings tab or the VRS Corrections tab.

Thumbnail View

Thumbnail Viewer

Displays thumbnail images with one document per row. Not available if you select the Scan Settings tab or the VRS Corrections tab.

Single image view

Single Image Viewer

Displays a single image in the viewer.

Zoom slider

Zoom Scale

  • To increase the magnification or zoom in, move the slider to the right.
  • To decrease the magnification or zoom out, move the slider to the left.

In Single Image Viewer, the current image magnification is listed as a percentage to the left of the slider. In Thumbnail Viewer, the magnification is listed as the width of the thumbnail expressed in pixels. The range of values on the slider differs between the two views.
