Registering an Export Connector

Use this procedure to register a Kofax export connector.

To register an export connector successfully, you must run Kofax Express as Administrator. For guidelines about export connector registration, see the Kofax Express Installation Guide.

You cannot register a different version of an existing Kofax export connector that is currently assigned to a job.

Once you complete the registration procedure, the export connector is available on the Connector list on the Job Setup tab.

  1. Verify the following:
    1. You successfully completed the installation of the export connector to be registered.
    2. You used "Run as Administrator" when starting Kofax Express; if not, the registration will fail.
  2. On the Kofax Express menu, click Options.

    The Options window appears.

  3. On the Options window, click Export Connectors.
  4. On the Export Connectors panel, click Add.
  5. Navigate to the folder where the export connector is installed, select the .inf file (such as "Kofax.SharePoint.Export.inf"), and click Open.
  6. On the Add Export Connectors window, verify that the export connector is selected and click Register.

    The export connector is registered for use with Kofax Express.
