Rescanning After a Multifeed Exception

Use the Rescan Multifeed control to rescan any overlapping pages (multiple overlapping pages feeding through the scanner simultaneously). Use Rescan Multifeed to perform a "rescan and insert" operation; when you rescan the pages affected by the multifeed exception, the first image is replaced and the remaining images are inserted after the first image.

The Rescan Multifeed control is not available while flatbed scanning is in effect.

  1. On the thumbnail viewer, select the document affected by the multifeed exception.
  2. Select the first image in the set of overlapping pages where the multifeed occurred.
  3. Place the pages (pages that fed through the scanner simultaneously during the original scan operation) to be rescanned in the scanner.
  4. On the Rescan tab, in the Rescan group, click Rescan Multifeed.

    The pages are rescanned. The first page replaces the page selected in the thumbnail viewer. The remaining pages are inserted after the selected page.
