Add Section Selection Group

The following procedure shows how to include a Section Selection Group in a Content Wizard to facilitate the process of composing a document. A Section Selection Group specifies whether the user can select zero, multiple, or only one section.

A Section Selection Group can contain the following items:

  1. In the document structure, select the item to add a Section Selection Group to.
A Section Selection Group can be added to the root of a Content Wizard, a Section, or a Data Backbone item.
  2. On the toolbar, click Add item > Section Selection Group.
A new window opens, and the new item appears in the structure of the Content Wizard. You can adjust the position of the group by clicking the arrows located on the toolbar.
  3. Under Section Selection Group title, enter a title for the group.
  4. Under Interaction, enter a question text and choose how many items to select from this group. Here you can specify the question to display next to this check box that enables a user to include or exclude sections from the group. If you select 0 or 1 or 0 or more, the choice will be conditional, while 1 or 1 or more will make the choice mandatory.
  5. Under Show/Hide, you can select to make the group conditional so it only appears when you need it in your document. To do so, select Section Selection Group is not always included.

    A new empty field appears.

    1. Click Add to add a new condition, select a Field that relates to the selection group in question, and then click Select.
    2. In the empty space to the right from the value drop-down list, enter text associated with the selected Field. For example, if you enter Y, the selection group will be included in the Content Wizard when this Field is equal to the value Y (for yes). You can apply as many conditions as necessary.
    3. Click Save in the upper right corner.

The condition is applied to the selection group.

  6. Click Save.
  7. To add a Section to the selection group, right-click the group in the tree and click Add item.
